There is free WiFi throughout the resort including your rooms, dining areas, and even the pool and beach!
If you have an iphone, the imessage feature will work (but only when texting another iphone user.) If you text someone on an iphone and the text bubble is blue, you are using imessage with that other person. If the text bubble is green, they are not using imessage and you will not be able to text that person using only wifi. We recommend using facebook messenger to stay in contact with people at home if they do not have an iphone.
Facetime or facetime audio is a great way to make video and audio calls on the resort. Non-iphone users can download the skype app.
We strongly recommend turning off your cellular data option on your phone while in Jamaica. They have cell phone coverage available but most likely at a high roaming rate.
For iphone users:

Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or cellular capable iPad.

Now tap on "Cellular"

Turn the option for Cellular Data to Off.
For android users:
Swipe down from the top of the screen, select Settings, press Data usage and then flick the Mobile data switch from ON to OFF - this will completely turn off your mobile data connection. Note: you will still be able to connect to the internet and use apps as normal if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
